Roscommon CBS set up final clash with Summerhill College
Daniel Foley goaled in the last minute to send Roscommon CBS into their first final since 1998 and hand them the win against 2-3 to 0-7 win over St Gerald’s at the Connacht GAA Centre.
St Gerald’s, chasing a three in a row, trailed 1-3 to 0-0 at half-time, but it appeared as if they had done enough to reach the final as two points each from Jarlath O’Malley, Matthew Ruane and James McGinty, and another from Calum Kyne, gave them a one-point lead with time running out. But super sub Foley stepped up 30 seconds from normal time to hit Roscommon’s crucial goal, and reach the decider for the first time since they last won the crown, 17 years ago.
