Richie Power voices criticism of refereeing in Kilkenny/Dublin clash

Richie Power has criticised the performance of referee Colm Lyons in Sunday’s Division 1A game between Kilkenny and Dublin in Nowlan Park.

The Cork official sent off three players, two from Kilkenny, including Johnjo Farrell whose straight red card in the first half was widely regarded as harsh.

Kilkenny are expected to contest Lyons’ decision, which Power appeared to be taking aim at when he posted a message on Twitter during the game: “I see the standard of officiating hasn’t improved much #nothingnew”
