Cregan slates Mary I’s ‘unfair’ Fitzgibbon Cup schedule

Mary I’s “unfair and excessive” Fitzgibbon Cup schedule which saw the teacher-training college play three games in six days has been described as madness by manager Eamonn Cregan.

Mary I exited the competition by virtue of an inferior score difference compared to fellow Group C contenders IT Carlow and WIT, Tuesday night’s defeat away to IT Carlow their third Fitzgibbon Cup outing since last Thursday.
