Maynooth bossed the majority of the game, despite Laois taking an early lead thanks to a free from Ross Munnelly. That was as good as it got for the hosts in the first half, however, as Maynooth went on to score 10 points without reply. Laois’ biggest contribution in that spell was a red card for Darren Strong, as he picked up a second yellow card for an off-the-ball incident.
It was the same story in the second half, although Munnelly scored a late consolation goal for Laois.
