Conroy injury blow for Galway

Galway’s chances of promotion from Division 2 of the Allianz Football League have been significantly dented with the news that Paul Conroy will miss the early part of the year as he recovers from a knee operation.

The former captain will miss both the FBD League and the first few rounds of the national league, having been operated on yesterday following meniscus damage to the cartilage in his left knee.

The injury happened at training a few weeks ago.
