Kilburn Gaels upset the odds to record a battling two-point win over Mullinavat at Ruislip in Saturday’s All-Ireland Club IHC quarter-final .
The north-London side started brighter in boggy conditions, opening a 0-5 to 0-4 lead at half-time thanks to five points from Stephen Lambert.

After the break, corner-forward Lambert found the net with a long-range drive before a late rally by Mullinavat, including a goal from John Walsh, ensured a nailbiting finish.
