Meath GAA seek missing €60,000 sponsorship

Meath GAA’s most latest accounts included “bad and doubtful debts” of €93,388 and Dempsey said two-thirds of it is related to the Comer Group.

They sponsored Meath between 2010 and 2012.

“It’s a source of disappointment that the Comer Group has still not honoured its commitment to pay the €60,000 outstanding from its support of the county team,” said Dempsey at Meath’s annual convention.

“The most recent commitment to us was made in September of this year.

“I think we will have to consider our options at this stage and I will be recommending that we do that early in 2015.”
