St Brendan’s College, Killarney have joined fellow Kerry school Coláiste na Sceilge in qualifying from Group B of the Corn Uí Mhuirí to reach the quarter-finals.

On Tuesday, Sceilge beat Tralee’s Mercy Mounthawk to move to four points and yesterday at Rathkeale Brendan’s followed suit with a 6-20 to 0-2 win over St Flannan’s College.

While Flannan’s got the first point, Brendan’s soon took over to lead 1-9 to 0-1 at the break, Micheál Burns with the goal. Evan Cronin found the net just after the restart and Lee O’Donoghue managed to get a second-half hat-trick while David Clifford also goaled.
