Ryan to succeed O’Shea

Michael Ryan will succeed Eamon O’Shea as Tipperary senior hurling team manager next year.

Ryan to succeed O’Shea

A recommendation Ryan makes the step-up from assistant manager after the conclusion of the 2015 season will go before a full county board meeting on Wednesday.

In recent negotiations, O’Shea stressed the need to groom a successor, before he agreed to take up the option of a third, and final, year in charge. Ryan, an All-Ireland SHC medallist in 1991, was a selector alongside coach O’Shea and manager Liam Sheedy when Tipperary won their last All-Ireland senior hurling title in 2010.
