McGlinchey takes the reins in Waterford

Tom McGlinchey will be ratified as the new Waterford senior football manager next week.

The former Tipperary boss is the unanimous choice of a four-man selection committee, succeeding Niall Carew, who vacated the role in August after two years at the helm.

McGlinchey has been handed a two-year term, with a review to take place at the end of 2015. His appointment will be rubber-stamped at a meeting of the Waterford County Board next week.
