Galvin glad of Cratloe glory

Limerick footballer John Galvin says it is remarkable that only the second senior club game he has started should yield him a county championship medal after guiding his adopted club Cratloe to glory in Clare on Sunday.

Galvin glad of Cratloe glory

The 34-year old has been living in Cratloe for the past four years and yielded to pressure last month to join them for the closing stages of the Clare SFC.

Galvin, who captained Limerick to the 2000 Munster U21 football title, had not played for his club Croom, who had been relegated to junior this year, this season and was eligible to transfer.
