Did you notice a small logo of a dog on the back of the Tipperary jerseys yesterday?

The county put the Dogs Trust logo on their shirts for the final to promote the charity which aims to reduce the number of stray dogs destroyed in Irish pounds each year and educate the public about responsible dog ownership.

Since opening its state of the art re-homing centre in Finglas in 2009, Dogs Trust has helped save the lives of more than 4,000 stray and abandoned puppies and dogs.
