Gloom lifts for Hickey and Kerry

ALL-IRELAND JFC FINAL:

The Castleisland Desmonds footballer will captain Kerry in today’s All-Ireland junior decider, bringing the curtain down on a first injury-free campaign since, well not even Hickey can recall a summer where he didn’t stand on the sideline supported by a pair of crutches or a sling wrapped around one or other shoulder.

As injury occurrences go, Hickey’s list is impressive.
