Creedon hints at Premier exit

Peter Creedon has hinted that the demands on inter-county managers could force him to call time on his Tipperary role.

Creedon hints at Premier exit

His official term is up following their Championship exit and pressed on whether he’d like to stay on to continue their strong progress, he said he would ‘probably say yes’.

But he quickly qualified the response by pointing out that managing a county side nowadays is akin to a full-time job and that he may not have the time.

“I have a busy life and other factors outside of that as well have to be given consideration,” said Creedon.

“It is nearly gone to the stage now as an inter-county manager that you have to be either retired or at it full-time. Maybe the players deserve a person that might be able to give it more time as well.”
