It means the likes of Eoin Kelly and Jason Forde, who scored as substitutes in their big qualifier win over Offaly, have been held in reserve by boss Eamon O’Shea, along with Shane McGrath.

One man who won’t be involved for Tipp is Brendan Cummins. For just the fourth time since the 1990s, Tipperary have announced a Championship team not featuring him.
