The full-forward pushed Wexford five clear with a brilliant 46th-minute strike at Parnell Park — and they held onto that advantage.

McDonald finished with 1-3 and gave a thrilling display, just days after similarly netting for the seniors against Clare. He’s expected to be involved again this weekend when the seniors meet Clare in their qualifier replay.
