Clare shot garners huge respect

A photograph from a weekend camogie clash has become an internet sensation.

Inpho’s James Crombie captured Orlaith Duggan consoling a crestfallen Siobhán Flannery after Clare defeated Offaly in a thrilling All-Ireland senior championship clash on Saturday.The photo agency posted the image on their Twitter feed, using the caption ‘Respect’, and a snowball effect ensued, as it was soon being shared and viewed on Facebook too.

Before long, it was sparking a huge reaction on Clare FM and by Sunday evening had already been viewed by 120,000 people. That number continues to grow, and Duggan is a bit bemused by the fuss.
