Kerry star wins race to be fit for showdown

Munster champions Kerry will have danger man James O’Donoghue available for Sunday’s provincial decider against Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Kerry star wins race to be fit for showdown

The Legion star came through a behind closed doors squad game at the weekend and is expected to be named by Eamonn Fitzmaurice at corner-forward for Sunday’s clash in Cork. He injured a shoulder before the Munster semi final win over Clare and missed the Ennis tie.

Kieran Donaghy and Johnny Buckley have also recovered from injury but may not start. The Kerry management has a decision to make regarding their half-forward line, with either Darran O’Sullivan or Donnchadh Walsh likely to miss out.
