Lyons re-jigs Déise charges for Clare clash

Waterford minor hurling manager Derek Lyons has made sweeping changes for the Munster semi-final clash against Clare tomorrow night.

The All-Ireland champions show five changes in personnel and 12 positional switches from the quarter-final victory over the same opponents at Cusack Park back in April.

MJ Sutton and Colm Roche return from injury to operate the central defensive positions. Michael Cronin and Jack Mullaney also join in defence. Aaron O’Sullivan is at full-forward. David Prendergast, Shane Murray, Edmond O’Halloran, Joe Allen and captain Shane Ryan drop out. Darragh Lyons and Andy Molumby form a new midfield pairing. Shane Bennett moves from centre back to wing forward. Six starters were part of last September’s All-Ireland win over Galway.
