Brudair favours two-tier structure

Limerick senior manager John Brudair is looking forward to the Gaelic Grounds this afternoon and their All-Ireland SFC qualifier opening round against London, but there are two other options the first-year bainisteoir would prefer.

The first is the obvious – he’d rather his team had beaten Tipperary in their opening round in Munster and thus facing Cork in the semi-final this evening. The second? Let John himself explain.

“The GAA should have a two-tier structure, a separate championship for division three and division four, the top two or even four then going through to the All- Ireland, maybe at quarter- final stage for the top two.”
