Former Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy rubbishes suggestions of mental frailty within Eamon O’Shea’s squad, claiming the team’s inability to see out tight games has been over-dramatised.

Sheedy launched a stout defence of the Tipperary players in the wake of Sunday’s late collapse to Limerick, but was still concerned at the number of recent late meltdowns.

“If Limerick had lost by two points, I don’t think we’d be talking about their mental frailties,” he said.
