Why Jason Forde will be paying more attention than most to his pre-match diet

Tipperary hurler, Jason Forde, could be forgiven if he scrutinises what he eats between now and Sunday.

A stomach bug the day before last year’s Munster semi-final against Limerick ruled him out of what would have been his Championship debut.

“I’d a stomach bug the night before, so that was a bit of a disaster, especially as it was only my first Championship start. For something like that to happen was a big blow,” he recalls.
