Dublin funding ‘too successful’

The Monaghan man said the organisation hope to revise their funding structure by this time next year so that smaller counties are give a larger slice than they are currently receiving.

He conceded of Dublin: “They are well funded and that arose from the need to develop the games in Dublin. You could argue that it’s got to the point now where it’s almost too successful. But I wouldn’t worry unduly about the strength of Dublin in terms of competitions. I think Dublin are going through a very good period at the moment and will take a lot of beating this year in football and maybe even hurling but I think that comes in cycles.”
