Uncertainty surrounds the 2015 Munster SFC after Limerick, Waterford, Clare and Tipperary stepped up their threat to withdraw from next year’s competition if the seeded system remains in place.

Clare manager Colm Collins and his Waterford counterpart Niall Carew have warned Munster Council top brass to wake up to the very real possibility that the aggrieved counties will walk away from next year’s championship unless the open draw is restored.

The controversy surrounding the seeded draw was ratcheted up a notch on Monday when Waterford captain Shane Briggs reaffirmed the players’ pledge that they will abandon the 2015 Munster championship if the seeded draw is given a second term.
