Lynch outlined the league champions’ considerable strengths: “They’re all good on the ball, and in some games you get a lot of possession through the mistakes your opponents make, but Dublin don’t tend to make those kinds of mistakes, which is true of the other top teams as well, the likes of Mayo, Tyrone, Donegal and Cork.

“Dublin don’t give the ball away and when you give it away to them, they’ll punish you, which is what happened to us in the league final.
