Fermanagh and Longford for final

Longford and Fermanagh will meet in the 2014 Lory Meagher Cup in Croke Park on June 7 regardless of the result of their meeting this weekend, as both counties made it two wins from two games on Saturday.

Fermanagh and Longford for final

Longford’s game against Warwickshire turned out to be hugely one-sided.

Longford led by the odd score in seven after 20 minutes but a Joe O’Brien goal gave them the upper hand and they went on to add another through Cathal Mullane to lead 2-10 to 0-4 at half-time.

The wheels really came off for Warwickshire in the second half and had two players sent off, while Longford added seven further points, with O’Brien and Gareth Ghee to the fore.

Fermanagh were similarly comfortable in their 3-16 to 1-9 win over Leitrim.

A sluggish start from Leitrim left them with work to do at half time where they trailed 1-8 to 1-2, while they were further hampered when James Glancy was sent off early in the second half for a second bookable offence.

With Seán Corrigan and Ryan Bogue in strong scoring form, the Erne County pulled clear immediately afterwards.
