Final thriller perfect preparation for championship, reckons Power

Sunday’s Allianz League final was "as close to championship pace as you’re going to get", according to Kilkenny’s star attacker Richie Power.

The Cats pulled out a dramatic one-point win thanks to TJ Reid’s late point, and Power was adamant that the 90 minutes of action would benefit both Kilkenny and Tipperary ahead of their championship openers.

“You saw yourselves what kind of game it was out there,” said Power. “That was as close to championship pace as you’re going to get.
