O’Neill set for Tyrone return

Tyrone legend Stephen O’Neill is winning his race to be fit for the Ulster SFC preliminary round clash with Down on May 18.

The 2005 Footballer of the Year hadn’t played since last year’s All-Ireland semi-final defeat by Mayo, but he came on yesterday for his club, Clann na Gael, and scored two points in their win over Aghaloo.

O’Neill returned to county training on Thursday night as he bids the put a six months injury nightmare behind him.
