Limerick Board take hurling management to task

Limerick GAA chiefs revealed they took the county senior hurling management to task following a below-par performance in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League.

The Shannonsiders missed out on promotion largely because of a draw with Offaly in their second-last game and county secretary Michael O’Riordan told Tuesday’s county board meeting top officials had met with TJ Ryan and Donal O’Grady to air their grievances.

“They basically apologised for the performance against Offaly in particular — they put their hands up,” he said.
