Long championship wait for counties left on sideline

After tomorrow’s Division 4 clash with Cavan, Limerick’s footballers won’t be out again until their Munster quarter-final against Tipperary on Saturday, May 31.

Their hurlers, having lost to Galway in last Sunday’s Division 1 quarter-final against Galway, have to wait 63 days, their June 1 provincial semi-final with Tipperary falling a day after their footballers’ outing.
