Dillon gets Cavan motoring
A second-minute goal from Joe Dillon put Cavan on their way, though the hosts were rocked by a serious looking injury to defender Declan Brown.
Peter Reilly’s men took complete control after that. They led by 1-4 to 0-2 when Paul Graham laid on a second goal for his side, finished powerfully past men on the line by Enda Flanagan, making it 2-5 to 0-5 at the break. Cavan kept up the pressure after the restart and Graham’s goal finished the contest when he scored his side’s third goal.
