Donegal defeat Longford and go to top of table

Donegal sit proudly on top of the NHL Division 3A table after recording their second comprehensive victory in succession, coming from six behind for a 1-20 to 3-9 victory over Longford at Pearse Park.

The handful of supporters were treated to a muddling encounter, with Donegal establishing a 0-9 to 0-2 lead after half an hour, despite playing into a strong breeze.

However, Longford exploded into life in the five minutes before half-time, adding three points to a Joe O’Brien goal to leave the minimum between the teams at the break.
