Baille goal steers Down to victory

Down remain the team to beat in Allianz Hurling League Division 2B after defeating Wicklow at Ballycran yesterday.

The hosts began with the wind and never trailed, posting the game’s only goal midway through the first half with U21 dual player Caolan Baille’s strike helping them to a 1-8 to 0-3 interval lead

Wicklow rallied on the restart but the hosts eased to a 1-15 to 0-10 win.
