UCC to appeal Cronin red

UCC officials have indicated to the GAA’s Higher Education committee they will appeal Alan Cronin’s sending-off during yesterday’s Sigerson Cup semi-final.

The Nemo Rangers player was red-carded by referee Barry Cassidy for an off-the-ball incident involving Maynooth corner-back David Hyland.

UCC are likely to lodge their objection this morning and a ruling would then be made prior to this evening’s final (6.45pm throw-in).
