At the end of 2011, Mayo signed a four-year sponsorship agreement, which included a landmark naming rights deal for MacHale Park. The county did a deal with the banks and Croke Park to restructure a €10.5 million debt after the redevelopment of the grounds in 2011 and announced a sponsorship deal with Elverys soon after.
However, the Mayo-based company is set to be placed into receivership before being acquired by the company’s management team with the backing of investors.
