Roscommon rally to seal final spot

Roscommon 1-10 Mayo 1-8

Ciarán Murtagh’s 37th minute goal, followed by a point from the same player a minute later, had wiped out Mayo’s interval advantage. But last year’s defeated All-Ireland finalists hit back immediately when Adam Gallagher’s shot was brilliantly saved by Roscommon goalkeeper Darren O’Malley. The ball was stopped on the line by Ronan Stack but the young defender let possession slip and it was deemed to have crossed the line.

However, Roscommon responded in tremendous fashion, kicking five unanswered points to qualify for the final against Leitrim on Sunday next.
