With a minute to go Mark Hehir’s black card meant Galway finished the game a man down after James Kavanagh and Sean Denvir were earlier sent to the line, and with their six subs used the Tribesmen fell foul to the new ruling.
“So far we haven’t really seen much because not a whole lot has been on the line. But I think it will be a big, big story in a couple of week’s time when the national league starts,” he said.
