Dublin’s GAA stars set for New Year’s Eve exhibition game
The Leinster hurling champions take on the 2013 Dubs Stars, an amalgamation side based on the county’s club championship at 5pm while the footballers face their own club stars at 7pm.
“We’re eagerly looking forward to welcoming our very own Jim Gavin and the Dublin Footballers to Clondalkin, whose achievements have further heightened the excitement and enthusiasm for Gaelic Games in the locality, particularly amongst our young people,” said Tony Delaney, Round Tower chairman.
“In tandem with the footballers, the success of Anthony Daly and the Dublin hurlers has added momentum to the enthusiasm for our national games within the community and we look forward to watching them play on our magnificent new home pitch. It’s a great opportunity for families to bring their children to see the Dublin footballers and hurlers up close.”
Admission for adults is €10, student/OAP €5 while children U16 are free.
