Dr Crokes power sees off Currow

Dr Crokes, even without Colm Cooper, Fionn Fitzgerald, Chris Brady and Ambrose O’Donovan, proved too strong for intermediate champions Currow in yesterday’s East Kerry SFC semi-final.

Dr Crokes power sees off Currow

The Killarney kingpins eased to a 3-15 to 1-13 win at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Crokes had a dream start when Brian Looney goaled in the opening minute. Looney finished with 1-6 while Kieran O’Leary hit 2-2 and Kerry minor Micheal Burns and Johnny Buckley had two points each. The victory sets up a mouthwatering final with neighbours Legion on Sunday with Cooper and Eoin Brosnan bidding for a record 11th O’Donoghue Cup medal.
