No Dublin return for Vincent’s star Quinn

Tomás Quinn insists his Dublin days are over despite summoning his best form in the pursuit of a second AIB Leinster club football title with St Vincent’s.

The former Dublin forward kicked a stunning 1-8 of his team’s 1-14 semi-final tally to secure their spot in Sunday’s decider with Portlaoise. It’s in line with some sparkling form throughout the provincial campaign and the latter stages of the Dublin championship having departed the Dublin set-up last winter.

Quinn was restricted to a bench role during the All-Ireland winning season of 2011 with Dublin but stayed on in 2012 as he felt several first-team players might lose hunger after the breakthrough.
