Finuge’s one season flirt with senior football is at an end and based on their performance in this contest, one sensed their return to Feale Rangers might come as a relief.
Finuge played the final minutes of the game with just 13 men following the dismissals of Reggie Galvin (second yellow) and Michael Stackpoole (straight red).
Paul Galvin, given a roving commission, was quiet by his standards and played most of the hour at centre-back, in what could be a prelude to where he might feature for Kerry in the Spring. Kilcummin, with Ian Devane in sharp form, were 0-8 to 0- 3 up at the break, five of their forwards scoring from play.
Another notable feature of the game was all but one of the scores came from play, while Kerry and Kilcummin keeper Brendan Kealy made a couple of excellent saves.
Kilcummin, with Shane McSweeney giving a towering performance at midfield, continued where they left off in the second-half and dominated. The only point of note was Jamie O’Sullivan’s free as it ensured all six Kilcummin forwards scored.
