Kerry stars inspire Brendan’s comeback
St Brendan’s, who denied Chorca Dhuibhne a three-in-a row, dominated the opening quarter, with Evan Cronin, Liam Kearney, Micheal Burns, Tony Brosnan and Paudie Clifford all showing well, but they shot five wides and a 1-2 to 0-2 lead was scant reward for their dominance.
Micheal Burns kicked two points (one free) while Cathal O Bambaire and Conor Geaney replied for Chorca Dhuibhne. But in the 14th minute, St Brendan’s struck for an opportunist goal when a Burns ’45 struck the crossbar and Brosnan was quickest to the rebound to score.
