Recently-retired Kissane joins Banner ranks

The 33-year-old Clyda Rovers clubman only announced his retirement from inter-county football recently but has wasted no time jumping straight back into inter-county scene as a part of Colm Collins’ new backroom team.

Kissane will bring considerable expertise to his role as Clare team trainer, as he’s a qualified athlete development and performance coach.

Collins was appointed Clare manager two weeks ago in succession to Mick O’Dwyer, with outgoing selector Ger Keane (St Senan’s, Kilkee) acting has his assistant.

And, apart from the coup of landing Kissane as a trainer/coach, former Munster rugby player Chris Delooze has been brought in as strength and conditioning coach.
