Stacks restored my confidence, declares Donaghy

The Austin Stacks man, who will line out in this weekend’s Kerry SFC final, admitted he underachieved with the county this year but the club’s run has helped ease the pain.

“It was important for me, especially after being dropped for the Munster final and All-Ireland semi-final to try and get my confidence going. After the defeat by Dublin, it was great to get straight back into club action with the lads,” he said, adding that there is a huge difference between club and county football.
