Clontibret led 0-7 to 0-5 at the break and struck a decisive blow just after the restart when Vincent Corey goaled to give his side a five point lead.

Entering the final quarter Harps had the margin down to two before Clontibret struck for a second goal from substitute Conor Lavelle, with five minutes remaining. This brought the lead back to five again and they looked home and hosed. However, a minute later a goalkeeping error allowed a speculative shot by Liam Hahessy to creep into the Clontibret net to make it a two-point game.

But Clontibret held out in a frenetic finish and will face Scotstown in Sunday’s decider.
