Mayo manager James Horan called on Jim Gavin to remember comments he made about stepping down from the Dublin manager’s job if his side played cynical football.

Asked what he thought of Gavin’s post-match statement that Dublin had to “play the ref as well as Mayo” he admitted being stunned when he heard it.

“I find that amazing. I find that absolutely amazing, if that was the comment,” he said.
