Éire Óg edge out holders
Paddy Murphy’s third minute goal gave Nenagh a dream platform and, with Murphy and Johnny Brennan leading the way, Éire Óg led 1-8 to 0-6 at the interval and were six points clear at the threequarter stage.
Seamus Callanan inspired a Drom-Inch rally with a 48th minute goal and two points to leave them only one behind with 11 minutes to play.
In an exciting finish, Mikey Heffernan and Paddy Murphy had points to calm Nenagh nerves and Richie Flannery put them four clear entering injury-time.
With almost the last puck of the game, David Butler doubled overhead for a Drom goal, but time ran out on them.
