Lissycasey go the extra
At half-time in normal time they led 0-3 to 0-2 but shortly into the second-half Ennistymon’s Sean McConigley goaled from the penalty spot. At the end of the hour it was 0-6 to 1-3. But Lissycasey’s fitness stood to them in injury time.
Clondegad overcame Wolfe Tones na Sionna 0-11 to 0-7 at Clarecastle. The 2011 Intermediate champions enjoyed a 0-5 to 0-4 lead at the break and forged ahead in the second period to claim a four-point win. Wolfe Tones now face Liscannor in a relegation play-off.
There almost a 40-minute delay in the Kilmurry Ibrickane – Éire Óg quarter-final at Kilmihil when midfielder Darren O’Neill of the Ennis club suffered a broken collar bone. His side were leading 0-3 to 0-1 at the time. Two second-half Éire Óg goals by Evan Courtney set them up for a slender 2-5 to 0-10 win.
