Kerry fail to park the bus

Kerry chairman Patrick O’Sullivan has played down the significance of a mishap involving the county’s bus prior to Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final.

RTÉ sports presenter and producer Adrian Eames tweeted in the afternoon: “Roof of Kerry bus got stuck on way into Croke Pk. Eamon Fitz(maurice) told me ‘If that’s the worse thing that happens today’!”

O’Sullivan explained: “We drove into Croke Park and under the Canal (Davin) End the bus got caught on a new overhanging barrier that looked to be welded on. We were only 100 yards away from our dressing room and there was no panic. It was the bus we use all of the time.
