The first half dismissal of Eoin Bradley aided a comfortable Ballinderry win over Glenullin in the big game of the Derry SFC last night.

Kilrea survived a huge scare against Newbridge as only the underdogs’ reduction to 12 men by the end turned it. Two goals from Lee Kennedy helped overturn a Danny Mulholland goal for the ’Bridge as they won 2-13 to 1-10.

Banagher let a three point lead slip against Lavey heading into the last ten minutes. Cailean O’Boyle netted for Lavey and they finished stronger to go into the last eight.

Dungiven scored an impressive win over Loup. The Magpies led 0-9 to 0-1 and the dismissal of Johnny McBride quelled the Loup’s comeback as Dungiven won by six points.

Slaughtneil fended off Bellaghy, with Christopher Bradley’s injury-time goal sealing a 2-8 to 0-7 win. Glenullin face Slaughtneil while Kilrea meet Banagher in the qualifiers in two weeks’ time.
